Community Profile

Avon Middle-High School is located south of Boston, and has a student population small enough to allow close attention to every student’s individual needs. Students who elect courses in the fine and performing arts have numerous opportunities to visit Boston for cultural and artistic experiences. Several students have been awarded Gold Keys in the prestigious Boston Globe Scholastic Art Competition. The basketball and softball teams have competed at the State Tournament level.

The Mission of Avon Middle High School is to prepare students to be self-directed, inquisitive learners. They encourage collaboration among teachers, students, and the community in order to develop students who are life-long learners and productive, responsible citizens of a global society.

Community Information

Avon is considered a prestigious community located along Route 24, approximately twenty miles south of Boston. The town is served by the Brockton Area Transit Authority and the MBTA, which provide convenient public transit service to Boston and Brockton.
