School Profile
The mission of Kokomo High School (KHS) is to enable our students to become lifelong learners as the result of a safe and positive learning environment. Each student is challenged in a culture of excellence and achievement, which enables students to develop thinking and learning skills to achieve personal growth and maximum potential. Kokomo High School is proud of its academic success stories. The Class of 2012 featured 4 National Merit Scholar Finalists, more than 20 Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars, and an Indiana Academic All-Star.
The schools robotics team called the TechnoKats has gained recognition internationally, while the high school forensic teams, the band, and the choir earned national awards. At KHS every curriculum area offers leadership programs and mentoring opportunities. The school has agreements with Indiana University that allow students dual credit and leadership avenues.

Community Information
Kokomo is located 50 miles north of Indianapolis. All the local social services are located in downtown Kokomo along with the Howard County Court House and City Hall. There are two large hospitals in Kokomo along with Indiana University of Kokomo and Ivy Tech Community College. Cultural aspects include a rich history in manufacturing. Kokomo features several multi-cultural celebrations, festivals, and events.
