Conveniently located one hour from Boston in Thompson, CT, Marianapolis is a traditional Northeastern boarding school. Students from the United States and many countries come together to develop the confidence and skills required for academic, intellectual, athletic, and artistic success.

Marianapolis Preparatory School

Our small size of 280 students allows faculty that live on campus to develop close, enduring relationships. Students feel welcomed, cared for, and part of the school community right from the start. Our students work hard because academic standards are rigorous, students care about their success, and they take their studies seriously. Marianapolis is an outstanding community of students, teachers, parents, and alumni who work together to foster an atmosphere of high expectations, trust, and compassion. There is an energy and spirit of character in our school. Students develop their creative talents, devote hours to service and play hard at athletics, as they learn teamwork, fairness, and respect for one another, all integral parts of our mission.

Traditional college preparatory school, located in beautiful northeastern Connecticut. Welcome to Marianapolis Preparatory School!

Academic and Sport Facilities

Our academics all take place in one main building. It contains the dining hall, chemistry, physics and biology labs, dark room, library, chapel, classrooms, and music room.

Field House with basketball court, wrestling room, and weight room; multiple soccer and lacrosse fields, softball and baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and cross-country and hiking trails.

Dormitories and School Residences

St. Johns Hall is the boy’s residence. Here you find two large recreational rooms with large screen TV, video games, computers, and pool tables/ping pong tables. Each dorm room, larger than many college dorm rooms, has two students.

St. Alberts and Bayer House, which are converted historic mansions, are the girl’s dormitories. They each have a common room with games, TV/DVD, and computers.

The girls typically share a room with one roommate. Each dorm has wireless access for any student needing it.
