St. Croix is a university preparation school for students in grades 6 – 12 with a reputation for being an excellent value encompassed in an extremely friendly and safe environment. While the academic standards are high, St. Croix supports its coed students through a full ESL program with a full time international advisor to assist with the needs of the international students. Because the school enrollment is 430 students, the school is large enough to offer a wide variety of both curricular offerings and after school activities and still small enough to allow students a chance to participate in activities of their choice.

St. Croix is recognized by the State of Minnesota Department of Education and accredited by the Minnesota Nonpublic School Accrediting Association.

Students have opportunities for a variety of experiences in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Professional sporting events, theaters, museums, downtown Minneapolis, the state Capitol and the Mall of America are just a few of the choices. Within walking distance of the campus are shops of over fifty varieties, including ethnic restaurants of over seven varieties and four major department and electronic stores. The nearby downtown St. Paul hosts the state Capitol and an award winning Science Museum with Imax Theater. A twenty-minute drive results in a visit to downtown Minneapolis with the internationally acclaimed Guthrie Theatre and Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

Dormitories and School Residences

The campus is located five minutes from downtown St. Paul and twenty minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport on thirty acres overlooking Lake Thompson. The on-campus student residences are fully equipped with double room dormitories, a full cafeteria, laundry, computer lab and a professional student life staff; and they are a short walk to the gymnasium, workout room, music rooms, classrooms and student commons.
