Pope John XXIII High School is home to approximately 300 students who are proud to call themselves Tigers (their school mascot). The school offers a college preparatory curriculum, welcoming community and a good mix of after school activities, making it a great choice for both domestic and international students. The school delivers academic excellence while also focusing on building the community and serving others through Catholic Education. 98% of the graduating classes are accepted into college, with more than 85% of students getting into their top choice.
Pope John XXIII High School offers a number of sports for girls and boys to participate in each season. The coaches strive to encourage athletes to reach their full potential and provide lessons that can be helpful throughout their lives. For those more musically inclined, the school offers award-winning student productions, drama, musicals, talent shows, and summer productions. Recent shows include Grease, Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls, High School Musical. Visits to the American Repertory Theater, and the Boston Ballet are also part of Arts experience at Pope John XXIII.

Academics
The academic program at Pope John XXIII High School includes a rigorous college preparatory curriculum while at the same time being cognizant of the varying ability levels and learning styles of our students, all of whom desire a college placement after graduation. The curriculum is therefore taught on three levels - College Preparatory, Honors and Advanced Placement. No matter what level a student is at, the student will be adequately challenged and pushed to their best while also receiving close help from teachers. Technology is integrated into every aspect of learning.

Location
Located just five miles north of Boston, Everett has a population of just under 40,000 and is home to Pope John High School. With its easy access to the city and Mystic River, there are plenty of activities to keep foreign students busy. Students can go to the movies, shop the streets, or just hang out at their favorite pizza shop. The bus stop in front of the school takes students directly to Sullivan Square, a favorite neighborhood of Bostonians.
Accommodations
Pope John High School offers a safe and nurturing environment for international students in its dorms, conveniently located on the top floor of the school itself. The dorm is split into separate areas for girls and boys and the room feature all new furniture. The house mother, father and grandmother pay special attention to dorm students' needs, and many dorm staff are also teachers who can provide additional academic support. Host family accommodation is also available.
